Mr. and Mrs. Doty
Eleanor Ackley Doty and Elihu Doty
Elihu Doty (1810-1864), with his wife (d. 1855), set sail to start the RCA mission on Borneo. Doty studied at Rutgers College and New Brunswick Theological Seminary and left for Batavia in 1836. He served on Borneo from 1839 to 1844 and then went to Amoy, China, where he continued until 1864.
